ELITE GROUPS - HISTORY



Prior to the introduction of AGG as a sport in the late 1990s, with the first AGG World Championship taking place in 2000, we had several performing teams: the Senior, Junior and Children's Elite. These groups were popular with gymnasts who did not wish to compete in rhythmic gymnastics, but wanted more training than what the recreational program offered. Some of these teams became well-known and were often asked to perform at various events, both locally and internationally.

These groups have now been replaced by our many AGG groups at various levels of skills and for various ages.

Senior Elite 2000 - 2001:
At the Kalev Group Invitational Competition, they did a spirited Latin number (see photo!) and a dramatic new routine with which they competed, earning them 19th place at the Aesthetic Gymnastics World Championships in Tallin, Estonia, in June 2001. While in Tallinn, they also performed at the Gala celebrating the 100 anniversary of the Estonian Kalev Sport Club.

The Senior Elite girls of 1999 - 2000:

The Senior Elite shared first place at the Kalev Group competition, June 2000 and performed at ESTO 2000.


They also performed at the Winter Break Party 2000 (above) and with their fabulous "Cosmos" routine (right) at the Betty Oliphant Theatre (with the "Rhythmic Expressions")

These Senior girls performed at the World Gymnaestrada in Sweden in July, 1999!

gold in their free routine. A strong group, as you can see ;-)
